Over150, 000 junior secondary school (JS 3) students in Kano state will sit for the Basic Education Certificate Examination, BECE, which commences in all secondary schools across Kano state.

Basic Education Certificate Examination, BECE, is the transitional examination from Junior Secondary School to Senior Secondary school, thus, very critical in students’ academic life.

Students will sit for the examinations in 12 subjects, which basically covers essay writing, objectives and practical, in not less than 1, 500 public and private secondary schools in the State

All concerned students are, therefore, reminded of the need to report promptly for the examinations and shun all forms of malpractice in their own interest.

Ministry According to Doguwa “The Ministry of Education will do its best to ensure that the BECE is conducted without hitches, and urges officials involved in monitoring the activity to put in their best for maximum success.
It is expected that officials of the Federal Ministry of Education will supervise the conduct of the examinations to ensure credibility.”

Meanwhile, the state Commissioner of Education, Alh. Umar Haruna Doguwa has advised prospective students sitting for the BECE to face the examination with optimism and to justify government’s investment in their education by scoring excellent grades.
