YOUTH TASKS TO EMBRACE SKILLS AND SMALL SCALE BUSINESS-CSC CHAIRMAN

Youth have been counselled not to limit their scope and passion to white collar job but rather engage in skills and small scale businesses for their good and the society.
The chairman of the Civil Service Commission, Kano state, Dr. Umar Shehu Minjibir (Garkuwan Minjibir) gave the advice when members of Youth Mobilizers Forum paid him a courtesy visit in his office.
Dr. Umar Shehu said such recourse to means of livelihood away from salary based professions have in some cases proven to be more prosperous and productive.
He therefore, commended the forum for their foresight and doggedness in exploring ways of engaging unemployed and idle youth in their midst as well as attending to other plights and pressing demands of their communities.
While pledging to maintain an open door policy, the chairman of the Commission assured of his readiness to partner with them in their quest of salvaging the youth in the state.
Earlier in his remark, the chairman of the Youth Mobilizers Forum, Sani Abdullahi Ahmad said they were at the Commission to congratulate him on his appointment and to intimate him on the activities of the forum.
He maintained that the Forum had through its reformatory and self reliance drive succeeded in engaging and admitting youth into various forms of skills businesses and institutions of learning in the state.
