The Executive Chairman, State Universal Basic Board Malam Yusif Kabir has warned Teachers in the basic education sub-sector against truancy .
Malam Yusif gave the warning during an interactive session with the Media and Communication unit of the Board.
The Executive Chairman said the administration of Governor Eng. Abba Kabir Yusif has good plans aimed at reviving and transforming Education sector especially in the area of teachers’ welfare through prompt payment of salary and implementation of promotions as at when due.
“in spite of Government Commitment on Education sector some unpatriotic teachers are not to supportive rather imbibe the habit of truancy which will not augur well for the system” He lamentedF
urthermore, he said the Board constituted strong monitoring team saddle with the responsibilities of monitoring schools and report to management for immediate and proper action. He then charged teachers to always be regular and punctual or to face the wrath of their action.
Malam Yusif commended the State Governor Eng. Abba Kabir Yusif for according priority to Education sector, and urged people in the state to continue to support the on his policy of Government peoples’ oriented programs for speedy development.
