Kano State Government Approves July 26-27 as 3rd Term Vacation for School

The Kano State Government has announced the approval of Friday, July 26, and Saturday, July 27, 2024, as the commencement dates for the 3rd term vacation in all public and private primary and post-primary schools in the state.

According to a statement issued by the Director of Public Enlightenment, State Ministry of Education, Balarabe Abdullahi Kiru, parents and guardians of boarding school students are expected to convey their wards home by the early hours of Saturday, July 27, 2024.

The statement further announced that boarding school students are to resume on Sunday, September 8, 2024, while day students are to resume on Monday, September 9, 2024.

Commissioner of Education, Alhaji Umar Haruna Doguwa, urged parents and guardians to ensure total compliance with the approved resumption dates, expressing appreciation for their usual cooperation and support. He wished students and pupils a successful and hitch-free holiday.

However, Commissioner Doguwa warned that disciplinary action would be taken against defaulting students
