Kano State Universal Basic Education Board Taps into PPP for Transformation

In a strategic move to revolutionize basic education, the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) has identified Public-Private Partnership (PPP) as the key to unlocking improvement in Kano State’s basic education sector.

Executive Chairman Malam Yusuf Kabir emphasized, PPP is the only way forward for us to achieve significant transformation in basic education.

Malam Yusuf made this statement while Commending Zenith Bank for the renovations of Gaya Primary School In Gaya Local Government Education Authority.

The Chairman stressed that PPP will Bridge the funding gap in education, Leverage private sector expertise and resources , Enhance infrastructure and learning environments.

He added that PPP is also a strategy  aims to improve teacher training and capacity building, Increase community engagement and ownership for the Development of Education.

The Executive Chairman noted that PPP has become imperative due to the increasing demands on the education sector and the need for innovative solutions.

Malam expressed optimism that this collaboration will yield remarkable results, saying, “Together, we can achieve excellence in basic education and secure a brighter future for our children.”

SUBEB has commenced negotiations with private sector partners, NGOs, and stakeholders to establish a robust PPP framework. This landmark initiative is poised to transform basic education in Kano State, making it a model for others to follow.
