Minjibir LG Chairman Distributes 17,916 Free Uniforms to Boost Primary School Enrollment

As part of his administration’s dedication to improving education, the Executive Chairman of Minjibir Local Government, Capt. Jibrin Nalado, has distributed 17,916 sets of free uniforms to pupils in 181 primary schools across the area.

The Local Government Chairman, Capt. Nalado urged headteachers to collaborate with School-Based Management Committees (SBMC) and Parent-Teacher Associations (PTA) during the collection and distribution process to ensure proper utilization of the uniforms.
He reiterated his administration’s commitment to prioritizing education and promised to equip schools with additional resources to enhance teaching and learning.
In addition to the uniforms, the chairman announced the distribution of 486 pieces of furniture to 15 primary schools to address infrastructure challenges.
The local government also covered the transportation costs of delivering the furniture to the schools.
The Education Secretary, Rabi’u Muhammad, expressed gratitude to the Executive Governor for his transformative efforts in Kano State’s education sector. He pledged full support for the initiative and assured attendees that the uniforms would reach the intended beneficiaries.
The Chairman of the Community Reconciliation Committee (CRC), Comrade Sunusi Daiyabu, commended the initiative and urged headteachers and pupils to offer prayers during school assemblies for the success of the program.
He also highlighted the state government’s achievements, including school renovations, provision of furniture, distribution of free uniforms, and improved teacher welfare.
The PTA Chairman, Alh. Buba Ado Minjibir, applauded the governor’s efforts and called on parents and guardians to support the government’s education reforms
