The Heads of Personnel (HOP) SUBEB Forum has honoured the Executive Chairman of the Kano State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Malam Yusuf Kabir, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to administrative development, staff welfare, and the overall advancement of basic education across the state.
Speaking during the Award Ceremony organized by the HOP Forum to honour the Executive Chairman and retired personnel officers who served for over three decades, SUBEB Chairman, Malam Yusuf Kabir, represented by the Board Secretary, Hajiya Amina Umar, expressed deep appreciation for the recognition.

He emphasized that the Heads of Personnel in the 44 Local Government Education Authorities (LGEAs) play a crucial role in ensuring efficiency and discipline in the management of staff and administrative affairs.
Which include :Enforcing service regulations and discipline among staff, managing staff records, salaries, and entitlements, Coordinating staff postings and transfers in line with service rules and serving as a bridge between SUBEB and the LGEAs in implementing government policies.
“Through these duties, the HOPs contribute significantly to maintaining transparency, order, and efficiency in the basic education system” He said
He commended the forum for its continued partnership and support to the Board.
“The Heads of Personnel are pillars of our administrative structure. The successes we record today are made possible through your dedication and professionalism. I sincerely appreciate this honour, which will further strengthen our commitment to improving the quality of basic education in the State.” he noted
In his address, Chairman of the HOP Forum, Malam Abdulmajid Mansir Minjibir, explained that the ceremony was organized to appreciate leaders who have made remarkable contributions to human resource management and educational growth.

“We decided to honour the SUBEB Chairman because of his determination and support for personnel officers and his efforts in promoting cooperation and transparency in the service. We also appreciate our retired colleagues who served diligently for many years. This event is both a recognition of excellence and a motivation for those still in service,” he said.

peaking on behalf of the awardees, Malam Lawan Musa expressed heartfelt gratitude to the HOP Forum for the recognition.
“This award is a source of pride and motivation. It shows that our years of service have been acknowledged, and we are truly grateful for this honour,” he said.
The event also featured special recognition awards presented to Malam Yusuf Kabir, the Honourable Commissioner I, Wada Ibrahim Daho, the Director of Personnel Management (DPM), Mariya Hodi Adamu and four other retired HoUs PM (Yusuf Dahiru, former HoU PM Tudun Wada, Yusuf Dankaka Barkun, former HoU PM Kibiya, Basiru Abdullahi Tarai, HoU PM Bunkure and Lawan Musa, former HoU P. Tofafor their outstanding service and dedication.
