AOPSHON Congratulates Governor AKY on His National Leadership Award

The Association of Primary Schools  Head teachers of Nigeria (AOPSHON), Kano State Chapter, has congratulated His Excellency, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, on receiving the prestigious 2025 National Excellence Award in Public Service (NEAPS) for Good Governance and Exemplary Leadership.

In a statement signed by the Chairman of the Kano State Chapter of AOPSHON, Comrade Malam Abdussalam Sumaila, and issued by the Secretary of the Association, Bilkisu T . Abdulkadir, the organization described the award as a well-deserved recognition of the Governor’s impactful contributions to educational development and public service delivery in Kano State.

According to the statement, AOPSHON commended Governor Yusuf for his commitment to revitalizing the education sector, improving school infrastructure, supporting teachers, and prioritizing students’ welfare across the state. The Association noted that these efforts have contributed significantly to the transformation currently being witnessed in the state’s education system.

The group further expressed confidence that the Governor’s recognition at the national level would inspire more reforms and strengthen ongoing initiatives aimed at enhancing quality education in Kano State.

AOPSHON reaffirmed its readiness to continue partnering with the government to achieve a more vibrant and productive education sector for the benefit of all.
