The Association of Primary School Head Teachers of Nigeria (AoPSHON), Kano State Chapter, has expressed deep shock and sadness over the death of two members of the Kano State House of Assembly, Hon. Aminu Sa’adu Ungogo and Hon. Sarki Aliyu Daneji.

The State Chairman of the Association, Comrade Malam Abdussalam Sumaila, described the demise of the lawmakers—who represented Ungogo and Kano Municipal Local Government areas respectively—as a great loss to Kano State and the nation at large.

While condoling the Kano State Governor, His Excellency Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, the Chairman also extended the Association’s sympathies to the Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Jibrin Ismail Falgore, members of the Assembly, as well as the families, friends, and associates of the deceased lawmakers.

In a statement signed by the Secretary of the Association, Comrade Bilkisu T. Abdulkadir, AoPSHON prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the departed souls and grant them eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdaus.

The Association further described the deaths as a painful loss not only to the immediate families of the deceased but also to the entire people of Kano State. It prayed that Allah grant the bereaved families the fortitude and strength to bear the irreparable loss.
