We ‘ll restore lost glory of Civil Service-CSC Chair

The newly appointed Kano state Civil Service Commission chairman, Dr. Umar Shehu Minjibir (Garkuwan Minjibir) has expressed his commitment to restore the lost glory of the Civil Service in the state.

Dr. Umar Shehu Minjibir gave the assurance at Conference hall of the commission when he assumed office as newly appointed Chairman.

The chairman maintained that the Commission would initiate programs and where necessary to revisit existing ones aims at promoting , protecting and improving the well being of the civil servants in the state. He pledged that henceforth any form of delay in the conduct and implementation of civil servants promotion in the state service will be over.

Dr. Mimjibir further said   the state government has within a few days of its inception effected several transformations that impacted positively on the lives and welfare of the civil servants and the general public.“ The Government has achieve in prompt payment of salary and pension, stoppage of unnecessary deduction workers salary and pension as well as execution of numerous laudable people oriented projects that requires urgent government attention across the state” He noted

The Chairman Solicited the support and cooperation of the civil servants in the state,  then urged them to be punctual and mindful of their responsibilities as his office is prepared to maintain an open door policy for suggestions and advises.

While expressing appreciation to the leader of Kwankwasiyya movement, Dr. Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, the state Governor, His Excellency Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf for finding him worthy and appointing him as the chairman of the Commission and the large turn out of well wishers that accompanied him to the Commission, the chairman assured that with his pedigree, he will do everything possible within his capacity not to let the state government and the Civil Service down during his stewardship.

Earlier in his welcome address,the Permanent Secretary of the commission, Mustapha Safiyanu Kabuaga thanked the  well wishers who accompanied the newly appointed chairman of the Commission.

The Permanent Secretary  highlighted some of the sterling qualities of Dr. Umar Shehu Minjibir which includes honesty, fairness, transparency as well as due processes in the conduct of government businesses within the service among other as this  contained in a statement from the Director Public Enlightenment of the commission Musa Garba issued to One Light news
