KNSG won’t victimize any worker

Kano state government says there is no any plan to victimize any worker in the ongoing screening exercise currently taking place at various centres in the state.
The chairman of the state Civil Service Commission, Dr. Umar Shehu Minjibir (Garkuwar Minjibir),who is also the chairman of the screening committee disclosed this in statement from the Director Public Enlightenment of the Commission Mallam Musa Garba made available to One Light News
The Statement added the Chairman of the Commission announced this when members of the Joint National Public Service Negotiating Council paid him a courtesy visit in his office.
Regarding the action of the government on the issue of promotion of Primary school teachers, he said the state government is studying the situation in order to give it a fair deal.
He then, called on the workers representatives to appreciate what the current administration has started such as prompt payment of salary and pension without any deduction by showing more dedication to duty.
The chairman of the Commission also explained that the state government had inherited a backlog of critical issues and is working round the clock to squarely address them.
On some advices and suggestions presented by the Council and which could bring about positive development in the state, Dr. Umar Minjibir promised to forward them to the state government for consideration.
Expressing appreciation over the visit, the Chairman of the Commission called on them to maintain the existing cordial relationship between them and the state government.
While assuring civil servants that promotion will now be made as and when due, Dr. Minjibir enjoined the Council members to continue to promote government policies and programmes in their constituencies.
In his remark, the chairman of the Joint Negotiating Council, comrade Hashim Saleh said they were at the Commission to congratulate him on his appointment as the chairman of the state Civil Service Commission and to reaffirm their unwavering support to the present administration,.
