Executive Chairman Malam Yusuf Kabir Charges Unions to Enhance Member Capacity for Improved Productivity

In a bid to boost productivity and efficiency in the education sector, the Executive Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Malam Yusuf Kabir, has urged relevant staff unions to initiate training programs for their members.
The unions include the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), All Nigeria Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCOPSS), Association of Primary School Head Teachers of Nigeria (AOPSHON), Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU), and Education Inspectors Association (EIA).
Malam Kabir emphasized the importance of capacity building, stating, “The success of our education system depends on the quality and productivity of our teachers and staff.
“It is essential that we invest in their development to ensure they are equipped to deliver excellence.” He said
The Executive Chairman charged the unions to develop and implement comprehensive training programs, Focus on areas such as pedagogy, classroom management, and technology integration Enhance leadership and management skills for school administrators and Provide opportunities for continuous professional development
Malam Yusuf Kabir assured the unions of SUBEB’s support and collaboration, saying, “We are committed to working with you to ensure our education system produces globally competitive students.”
He called on unions to welcomed the initiative, pledging to work together them to enhance the capacity of their members.
“This move is expected to significantly improve teacher quality, student outcomes, and overall education standards in Kano State.” He added
