SUBEB Officially Launches Distribution of English Textbooks for Primary 1–3 in Gabasawa

The Executive Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Malam Yusuf Kabir, has reaffirmed the Board’s commitment to ensuring the proper utilization of teaching and learning materials provided to schools across the state.
He made this known during the official launch of the distribution of English textbooks for Primary 1–3 pupils in Gabasawa Local Government Area. The textbooks were supplied under the PLANE programme to improve foundational literacy in public primary schools.
Represented by the Director of Corporate Communications, Balarabe Danlami Jazuli, the Chairman emphasized that the Board would continue to ensure that all instructional materials provided by government and development partners are properly distributed to the intended beneficiaries.
“We will continue to ensure that all materials supplied to our schools reach the pupils for whom they are meant and are properly utilized,” he stated.
The Education Secretary of the area Alhasan Musa Sani disclosed that, for the first time, the Local Government received 163 cartons of English textbooks for Primary 1–3, which are to be distributed to 24 schools participating in the PLANE programme.
He added that additional consignments are being expected to cover more schools and cautioned head teachers to strictly adhere to guidelines in the distribution process to avoid any actions that could attract sanctions.
The delegation also visited Dr. Ayuba Model Primary School, Gabasawa, where they interacted with pupils who benefited from the newly supplied English textbooks

In a related development, Permanent Member I, Hon. Wada Ibrahim Daho, officially launched the distribution of the same English textbooks in Takai Local Government Education Authority, while the Board Secretary, Hajiya Amina Umar, performed a similar launch in Minjibir Local Government Education Authority.
Both officials called on parents to support their children in cultivating the habit of taking proper care of the books to ensure the objectives behind the provision of the textbooks are fully achieved.
